Today, at the Tennessee State Museum’s dedication ceremony honoring Governor Bill Haslam, presenters showcased a video by Stonecastle created for the event.
Narrated by Pulitzer-Prize winning author and historian John Meacham, the video is a tribute to Gov. Haslam, who championed the construction of a new home for the Tennessee State Museum during his time in office.
The museum, now called the Bill Haslam Center, hired Stonecastle to oversee the entire process, from consulting on the script to locating the archival footage to editing it all together. Created in partnership with Nashville’s Stones River Group (SRG), the video – titled “History Lover, History Maker” – is a highlight reel of sorts featuring defining moments in Gov. Haslam’s life and career.
The 137,000-square-foot museum opened in 2018 after state legislators set aside $120 million for its construction. Numerous personal donations helped fund the shortfall, including those from the Haslam family.
