Lipscomb’s way forward, starting with its past

As Lipscomb University prepared to welcome its new president, Dr. Candice McQueen, the marketing team asked Stonecastle for help sharing her vision in a series of videos. These videos, scheduled to be shown at her inauguration ceremony, would introduce her plan for the university to the general public, so it was important to get it right.

Remembering the past

 

The challenge on this project was to showcase a fresh, new vision for the university while also paying tribute to its rich heritage. This content had to embrace the past, present, and future — at the same time. So we pitched the idea of three distinct videos, beginning with this one, which explored the importance of remembering Lipscomb’s past.

Looking to the future

 

This video would be the last to show at the president’s inauguration and would play just before she addressed the audience. So it made sense to use this video as an introduction to her own story and passion for students. Our goal was for the audience to feel like they knew her before Dr. McQueen ever stepped to the podium.
